Hallo everyone
read please this blog and can you all give examples types of reference
(reference variables or consonant references) that you understand, or give your
opinion about this material.
Reference
References
is the relation between a language expression such as this door, both doors, the dog, another dog and whatever the
expression pertains to in particular situation of language use, including what
a speakers may imagine.
References
is a relationship between objects in which one object designates, or acts as a
means by which to connect to or link to, another object. The first object in
this relation is said to refer to the second object. It is called a name for
the second object. The second object, the one to which the first object refers,
is called the referent of the first object. A name is usually a phrase or
expression, or some other symbolic representation. Its referent may be anything
a material object, a person, an event, an activity, or an abstract concept.
Reference
can take on many forms, including : a thought a sensory perception that is
audible (onomatopoeia), visual (text), olfactory, or tactile, emotional state,
relationship with other, space time coordinate, symbolic or alpha-numeric, a physical
object or an energy projection. In some cases, methods are used that
intentionally hide the reference from some observers, as in cryptography.
References
feature in many spheres of human activity and knowledge, and the term adopts
shades of meaning particular to the contexts in which it is used. Some of them
are described in the sections below.
1 Types
of reference:
1. Variable
reference are expressions that have their reference totally dependent on
context. Variable reference consist of :
-
One word
-
Many expression
-
Refer to different
type of that object
Example
:
Book
“ the word book
has a real object or appearance in the world”
2. Consonant
reference are expressions that have the same referent across a range of
utterance. Consonant variable consist of :
-
One word
-
Many expression
-
Refer to the same
thing
Example
:
o
America
“
America has a real appearance and
also can be defined in other words or expressions”
-
The
Eiffel tower
-
The
red sea
here is explained References can take many forms, please explain and give examples of references in the form of time coordinates?
BalasHapusI think reference that we will discuss today is about reference in semantics nurlita are refereence in the form of time coordinates is one of reference in semantics? I have not known before, please introducing me that. Thx u

Hapushere you explain the Reference can take on many forms, including: a thought a sensory perception that is audible (onomatopoeia), visual (text), olfactory, or tactile, emotional state, relationship with other, space time coordinate, symbolic or alpha-numeric , a physical object or an energy projection. In some cases, methods are used that intentionally hide the reference from some observers, as in cryptography. therefore I ask examples of references in the form of time coordinates?

BalasHapusFrench = French. It is a country in Western Europe and the famous icon of French is the Eiffel Tower😁
BalasHapusSame with mawadah, french is a country but i think word french in this reference teories has some meaning and refers to..
HapusBecause there are Three kinds of differences in referents are: concrete
and abstract; unique and non-unique; countable and non-countable. Can u explain this?
I think French refers to the nationality, and refers specifically to the province of Paris which historically was the heart of the royal demesne.
BalasHapusplease explain, what is meant by kiptografi observations?
BalasHapusCryptography has several security aspects, including:
HapusConfidentiality, ensuring that the data can only be accessed by certain parties.
Authentication (authentication) is an identification made by each party communicating with each other, meaning that several communicating parties must identify with each other.
Integrity (integrity), guarantees that every message sent must reach the recipient without any part of the message being replaced, duplicated, damaged, changed in order, and added.
Non-repudiation, prevents the sender or recipient of denying that they have sent or received a message.
hello iam Ais I have a question about Representational Theory:
BalasHapusis this included in the type of reference or not ? beacuse that is same meaning about the relationship between expressions as well as how they meditate by the mind. That is the main difference between the two.
I think it is same but reference can join with other theory ex: reference and sense, reference and expression, etc

BalasHapusplease explain, what is meant by kiptograpi observations?
I guess you mean cryptography. from the article that I read, Cryptography is a method of protecting information and communication through the use of codes so that only those intended for information can read and process it. so in my opinion who can get that information is the person who has the code and only gives the code
HapusI think about French: French is "Fashion City"because the country is the main center of the world fashion industry and its activities include design, production, retail, fashion events, as well as exhibitions and trade activities💘

BalasHapusI still dont get it. So, what distinguishes variable reference and consonant reference? Just in the context or there others? Can u give more example? Thx

Hapus
HapusIn my opinon That variable means only one rich in "table" is "table" but if the consonant has a broader meaning, example when I say Banten, probably you should think anything about banten. (Hifni khotibul u 171230153)

HapusDifferent between a reference variable with a consonant reference so if that variable is an expression that is entirely dependent on their reference. for example "book" is a book that is a real object because it has a form, while a consonant reference is an expression that has the same reference in various utterances. for example, "Bogor" has a real appearance and can also be defined in other words or the phrase "we can call it" Bogor "as a city of rain "kota hujan"
HapusIn my opinion,in short the Variable Reference means only one. For example: chair (meaning that a chair cannot be interpreted differently) while a Consonant Reference can mean a lot. For example: Nail (can kuku or paku). I'm sorry if I wrong

in my opinion, the French word refers to the consonant reference. because the referring expression is used in an utterance to refer to something, which makes an expression can be mentioned as a referring expression.

HapusI agree with your answer, the "French" is included in the consonant variable that is one word, also many expressions (France is a country located on the European continent, precisely in Western Europe), and also refer to the something.
HapusWhen I hear the word "French", i thinking 'bout a rooster. Because the rooster is symbolized as an animal symbol of French nationality. 😁
BalasHapusthe word "John" refers to the person John. The word "it" refers to some previously specified object. does this mean "it" is a form of reference?
BalasHapusIn my opinion, 'it' is form of references, reference to the subjenct
HapusI think French is famous for its romantic attractions so that many tourists who visiting this country
BalasHapusin my opinion between the reference variable and the consonant variable lies in the meaning that appears in the "word". if for reference variables we can see that the meaning of the word is limited, it can be said to only one, but for consonants, it refers to "words" which have different meanings, not just one meaning, but can be more

BalasHapusReferences can take many forms, please explain reference through a sensory perception that audible (onomatopeia)? Thx
BalasHapusOnomatopoeia is a word that was formed from the combination of two Greek words, "onoma" which means "name" and "poiein" which means "to make".
HapusOnomatopoeia is a word or words that when voiced are an imitation of the sound produced by the object in question.
The cow
Ex: goes "moo" and the sheep goes "baa".
In my opinon That variable means only one rich in "table" is "table" but if the consonant has a broader meaning, example when I say Banten, probably you should think anything about banten. (Hifni khotibul u 171230153)
BalasHapusYes alright, we can think about the tourism such as anyer or typical food or other. Then we can say banten with its religious tourism, namely "kaibon" or with its special food namely "sate bandeng" , it all shows Banten
HapusI think if the variable means only one like "table" then "table" but if the consonant has a broader meaning
BalasHapusand that can be interpreted as wood, right?
HapusYes, but the wood that has been used as a table so it's still a table not 5wood anymore,,
HapusAfter read, i want to ask, do you know about Sense? Can you distinguish reference and sense? Does Sense have equations with reference or not? give me examples, please!
BalasHapusThe reference of a word is the relation between the linguistic expression and the entity in the real world to which it refers. In contrast to reference, sense is defined as its relations to other expressions in the language system. Thus, there are words that have a sense, but no referents in the real world. Other words may differ in sense, but not necessarily in reference, and vice versa.
HapusReferences are the way the speaker and listener use expressions.
Hapusnot all words can be associated with mental images. example sentences 'The dog bit a man' and 'The man bit a dog', using ordinary examples, contain the same words but they do not express the same meaning.
Sense is giving the meaning of a word, commonly used in dictionaries and paraphrasing it.
Ex. To say that le train bleu means `the blue train 'is to say that the French expression and the English expression have the same sense.
(M. Najmudin 171230144)
I believe this reference material is very powerful because we can understand to express l, one word becomes a phrase phrase easily understood by others. So you haveconsonant reference are expressions that have the same referent across a range of utterance.
BalasHapusIn my opinion the word "frence" belongs to the consonant reference. Because the word has many meanings or many perceptions about the word. That can be said as the name of a country, can also people immediately think of the Eiffel Tower.

BalasHapusIn my opinion the word "frence" belongs to the consonant reference. Because the word has many meanings or many perceptions about the word. That can be said as the name of a country, can also people immediately think of the Eiffel Tower.
Yes, i think so too. Because everyone will be different in expressing the word "French", but the thing that is referred to must be the same.
Hapusso if the variable is meant only one like "table" then "table" but if the consonant does it have a broader meaning?
BalasHapusThat's right ki
HapusYeah it's right ki variable that have meant only one like" book" yeah its book not shoes or other but consonant it have boarder meaning like "banten" you can thing about banten broader or more thoughts about offer
HapusI think so, because reference variable we can see that the meaning of the word is only one, but for consonants, it refers to "words" which have different meanings, not just one meaning, but can be more.
HapusYes, I agree in consonants we can define one word into many meanings
HapusShulthoniah
BalasHapusFrom articel that i read. Reference and sense. The reference of a word Hbis the relation between the linguistic expression and the entity in the real world to which it refers. In contrast to reference, sense is defined as its relations to other expressions in the language system.
I think, A French-speaking person or nation may be referred to as Francophone in both English and French
BalasHapusFrench refer to club football paris saint german
BalasHapusI am still confuse what are the difference about types of reference. So what is the difference between variable reference and consonant reference?
BalasHapusSiska Amelia

And I think French is "kentang goreng"😅. Is Frence variable reference?
HapusSiska Amelia

Different between a reference variable with a consonant reference so if that variable is an expression that is entirely dependent on their reference. for example "book" is a book that is a real object because it has a form, while a consonant reference is an expression that has the same reference in various utterances. for example, "Bogor" has a real appearance and can also be defined in other words or the phrase "we can call it" Bogor "as a city of rain "kota hujan" then we can Bogor by the other words or we can think bogor about what is famous in the city
Hapusif "kentang goreng" it's not just "French", but "french fries".
Hapusin my opinion, if seen from the example of reference variable is "book", the word "book" can be intrepreted differently depending on the context. because the word "book" can be interpreted "memesan" or "buku".
HapusWhile, the example of consonant reference is the "Eiffel tower' which although people will differ in their expression but the references are the same and dont depend on context.
from the article I read the difference is
Hapus=>consonant is a speech sound that is articulated with complete or partial closure of the vocal tract. Examples are [p], pronounced with the lips; [t], pronounced with the front of the tongue; [k], pronounced with the back of the tongue; [h], pronounced in the throat; [f] and [s], pronounced by forcing air through a narrow channel (fricatives); and [m] and [n], which have air flowing through the nose (nasals).
A vowel is a syllabic speech sound pronounced without any stricture in the vocal tract. Vowels are one of the two principal classes of speech sounds, the other being the consonant. Vowels vary in quality, in loudnessand also in quantity (length). They are usually voiced, and are closely involved in prosodicvariation such as tone, intonation and stress.
if i hear the word "French", what i have in mind is the Eiffel tower and baguette bread
BalasHapusI think about french, french is a wall of love and padlock of love because many tourists who visit a french country take the time to visit it.
